EA'S Asylum -- Thoughts

I would not call this much of a review, as more of a review sprinkled with thoughts and my own discourse. There are multitudes of people out there who have gone into great depths to review Emilie Autumn's The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls and probably picked apart the novel better than I can ever.

Today, I am mainly going to jot down my own thoughts as The Asylum deals with a lot of issues, themes, and elements applicable to my life and interests.

It's Been A Long Time--What to Expect

A lot has happened in the last few years. I suppose I haven't been able to keep up with things as much as I have wanted. In lieu of some recent events, I would like to reinstate this blog to go back to my original purpose...but with a twist.

The Geeky Goth title still stands as it always does.

On the way home from work, I considered what I wanted to do. At times, I found myself bored, looking through Twitter profiles and reading other's blogs. Then, I realized what I COULD do.

Geeky Review: Customwallscrolls.com

I don't like posters. After 4 years of living in a dorm, I had so many issues with sticking posters onto my walls. I went from sticky-tack which ruined the backs to plain old tape which tore into the print. I have partially ruined my limited edition Homestuck print (signed by Andrew Hussie) and tore through my poor Skyrim map.

Why not order a wall scroll instead?

I happened to come across this site: Customwallscrolls.com which offered to print any image of yours into a fabric scroll. I have two scrolls myself: a Revolutionary Girl Utena one and a xxxholic one, both I got from Megacon 2011. I have had no issues putting scrolls up on walls. Just get some of those command hooks and--BAM--the scroll is attached to the wall fairly well.

A week or so ago, I ordered a custom scroll of one of my favorite anime/game characters: Nepgear from the Hyperdimension Neptunia series. I found a large image of her online, about 2000x2000 pixels, and sent it to them.

A New Welcome!

Hello My Fellow Bats and Ghouls,

I'd like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Diana and I have started this blog to just write general posts about my life/subculture as well as reviews of the things I happen to buy.

Without further ado, I present to you: The Geeky Goth!

Love,

Diana L.
